The league had its sixth season in 2021, called the IBL Pertamax due to sponsorship reasons. The regular season started in March and ended with the Finals in June. The season was held in a bubble in Bogor and Jakarta due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Satria Muda emerged as the champions, defeating Pelita Jaya in the championship series.
